Creating comfort areas in buildings with large spaces is certainly not easy, both for the high costs and the technical difficulties involved. Large spaces are often associated to great heights, the heat traditionally generated tends to stratify in high areas and to heat partitioning the areas for short periods involving difficulties hard to overcome.
Resorting to forced hot air solves only part of the problem, because air currents are generated that raise dust and humidity tends to settle on frescoes and plasters ruining them.
Our products, installed on the floor, in the cushions or under the benches in the churches, heat up thanks to the carbon fiber resistors, whose emissions in the infrared band generate heat only when they encounter an object, a wall or a person. The infrared does not heat the air but only the solid bodies, which in turn radiate heat into the environment, thus creating the optimal conditions for the comfort of the occupants.
The electronic management of our products with carbon fiber resistors allows to control the temperature and to divide the areas by time slots, thus avoiding waste.
In this sense, a simple example of designing and installing one of our heating systems with heated footrests and under-carpet provides an idea of how, in practice, the efficiency and practicality of our products are realized.
A - PARTITION OF THE SURFACE IN SECTORS
To optimize consumption, the heating surface is divided into sectors, powered separately and with the possibility of being switched on and with the possibility of being lit according to the amount of faithful expected for each individual ceremony.
B - MODALITY OF TURNING ON THE ELECTRIC FLOOR HEATING
Considering that the starting ambient temperature is about 10 ° C, the ignition must take place 90 minutes before the start of the Function and the shutdown 30 minutes later, therefore stay on for about 120 minutes.

G - WEEKLY CONSUMPTION PROGRAMMING
a number of 1 event x 5 days x 2h x 2 lit sectors = 124 kWh;
a number of 2 extraordinary events x 2h x 3 lit sectors = 74,4 kWh;
a number of 2 events on Saturday x 2h x 4 lit sectors = 99,2 kWh;

H – FORESEEN CONSUMPTIONS
From the example we obtain a total of approx. 471.2 kWh. per week.
Assuming 18 winter weeks, an annual consumption of 8,482 kWh can be calculated.
With a cost of € 0.30 / kWh, WE can quantify an expense of € 2,545 / year.
